With over 250,000 residents and several multi billion-dollar companies, Chandler Arizona amazingly still looks and feels like a small town. There is a true sense of community here, residents really feel like they belong. Ken Morrow has lived in the Ocotillo area (suburb of Chandler) for over 25 years. Ken’s family has frequented the local restaurants close to his home just as we all seem to do here in Chandler. We ‘live’ in our own little bubbles, we have communities within the community.
Ken saw a need for an aesthetic update at his favorite local restaurant and being that he owns One Way General Contractors and builds commercial buildings and restaurants for a living, he jumped on in to recreate the now St. Amand Kitchen & Cocktails located at Ocotillo & Alma School Roads.
The overhaul included renovations to the entire 2,500-square-foot indoor dining area and 900-square-foot patio, which boasts a custom misting system and was expanded to wrap around the building. Six TVs keep sports fans updated at the bar, which was moved to the corner of the restaurant and transformed into an indoor/outdoor hang out. And when the incredible transformation was completed, he just couldn’t stop there.
Bringing in local favorite Chef Carlo Ventura most recently remembered from Bernard’s at Ocotillo Golf Club and Carlo & Emilie’s Gourmet Deli, was brilliant! Trained previously at the Ritz Carlton Hotels in New York and France, Chef Ventura completely revamped the menu and continues to create weekly specials for the restaurant.
You definitely need to get in there for their signature Prime Rib Wednesday Special, reservations are highly recommended by calling 480-782-5550 after 3:00pm daily.
Even during a global pandemic that has brought the restaurant industry to its knees, St. Amand has amazingly elevated its status under the new management of Grant Gates. With years of restaurant knowledge and experience focusing on creating an eclectic blend of feel good foods, great service, and an ambiance that really focuses on customer satisfaction, this has been a game changer for the restaurant.
